Ten years ago, WPPM 106.5 FM emerged onto the airwaves, contributing to what is now a vibrant tapestry of low power FM radio stations in Philadelphia.
On Saturday, October 24th from 2-6PM, come celebrate with us at WPPM’s 10th Anniversary Party right here at PhillyCAM - 699 Ranstead Street!
Join us for an afternoon of DJ sets in the Commons area, catered food from Dig Inn, and live music from local psych-funk group Animal Instincts. There will be plenty of time to mingle, snack, hang out with your favorite programmers, or get to know some new ones.
We’ll be raising $1,065 (our broadcast frequency) for WPPM’s 10th birthday and if you can’t make it out on Saturday the 24th, please consider donating!
Also be sure to tune in on Tuesday, October 20th for Community Media Day! This is WPPM’s actual anniversary, commemorating the day we went live on 106.5 FM. We’ll be featuring a day full of special programming from WPPM long-timers and fresh faces alike. Tune in!
We hope to see you and thank you for 10 years of awesome community radio. Here’s to another decade!
